Objective

XHTML
I started working with HTML back when I was 12-years-old. That was back when Geocities was the best thing on earth. I've branched out from there (thank goodness), and learned to write valid XHTML that works with most (if not, all) popular browsers.
CSS
Soon after I began learning XHTML, I delved right into CSS, picking up what I could from tutorials and walk-throughs. I am a firm believer in CSS layouts (meaning the design is seperate from the content) which will help you if you ever decide to redesign your site.
Image Editing
Actually, I began editing photos in Paint Shop Pro. However, I soon found that limiting and moved to Adobe Photoshop. In high school, I took a graphic design course and also learned the basics of Quark. While on the high school newspaper staff, I got the chance to work with InDesign.

Focus Design Studios
July 2008 to August 2008 — Working with FDS was truly a great experience for me. It was my first step into the world of professional web design. Unfortunately, just a few weeks after I began working at FDS, the server crashed and the company shut down due to lack of backup. I would love to work for another small to medium-sized company like this one.
Kroger
June 2005 to July 2008 — Although this job doesn't directly relate to the field of web design, I do feel like I've learned quite a bit from it. Working retail has taught me a lot about people and customer service, and it's made it easy for me to deal with all kinds of stressful situations. Working at Kroger has also taught me a lot about responsibility and how important it is to be on time and do the job—no matter what the circumstances are.

PHP & MySQL
I have limited experience in PHP & MySQL, but I know enough to work around code and even implement a few simple features.
